Equally committed to socially active business practices focused on profitability and wildly imaginative creative development focused on effective storytelling, Randy has enjoyed a long career in broadcast, video and film.

Co-owner of Randy Murray Productions (RMP) with his wife and partner Theresa Murray, Randy has led the creative side of the company since its inception in 1991. RMP produces original content including feature documentaries and television series, television commercials, branded content and marketing videos.

Randy leads the RMP team in development of original content, past projects include:

  • Deadly Dentists the one-hour television series for the Investigation Discovery Channel.
  • The Joe Show, the critically-acclaimed and award wining feature documentary was nominated for an International Documentary Association Award in 2013. An official selection at Hot Doc in Toronto, the Luxemburg City Film Festival, the Big Easy Film Festival and the Phoenix Film Festival, just to name a few. The film enjoyed a theatrical run in the US and Canada before domestic broadcast rights were sold to the Discovery Networks. It is now available on iTunes and Amazon Prime as well as a number of digital outlets.
  • Mitchell 20, a Rocky Mountain Emmy winning documentary on education. This feature length documentary was distributed nationally by AMC Independent.
  • The Edge of War, a six-episode original series developed by RMP and produced in Canada for the American Heroes Network. This series was also sold internationally.

Randy served as US producer for a number of TV series and films including the critically acclaimed docu-drama The Imposter.  The film premiered at the Sundance and enjoyed international theatrical distribution.

Founded as a ‘for profit’ company with a social obligation to use the power of film to advance the good in our world, Randy and RMP have done marketing videos and documentaries for a number of non-profits including: Free Arts for Abused Children, New Global Citizen, the Arizona Master Teacher Program and 21 years of work for Valley of the Sun United Way, which has helped raise an average of $50,000,000 each year.

Internationally recognized for his storytelling and production style, Randy has earned a Rocky Mountain Emmy, multiple Tellys, Addys as well as several audience and festival awards including Phoenix Film Festival’s 2015 Filmmaker of the Year.
